Uttarakhand Open University Dehradun is also known as Uttarakhand Open University Haldwani. The university was founded in the year 2005 to provide knowledge and skills to the students through distance learning. The main aim of the university is to focus on the educational needs of women, the tribals, and other marginalized sections. Uttarakhand Open University Dehradun has also signed a Memorandum of Understanding with several leading research institutions, companies, and professional bodies so that the students can get the benefit.
